Chiropractic Adjustment:

Chiropractic Adjustments are performed to reduce interference in your nervous system that is caused by restricted joint motion or 'SUBLUXATIONS".  We provide advanced spinal correction utilizing "state of the art" chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic have we been able to provide the level of help and expertise that now exists. These newer correction methods are even safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Thomas Mang has years of training and experience in spinal adjustment.

Using very fine, sterile, one-time use needles are inserted into specific points on the skin to adjust and regulate the flow of energy in the body.

X-Ray:  a form of energy related to radio waves and sunshine. The image cast onto special film reveals internal structures of the body. These pictures can reveal fractures, bone diseases and joint degeneration. They can later serve as documentation for your progress.

Hydrotherapy:  This is a treatment  for deep-tissue, effleurage massage therapy.  You are placed onto a comfortable table that shoots water underneath the liner where you lie.  The water inside the table is 106 degrees.  The hydrotherapy bed massage from your neck to your feet.

Ultrasound:  used to send, 'SoundWaves" into the painful area to produce many healing effects.   It creates the sensation of a "micro-massage" for the patient.  Ultrasound is effective at breaking up scar tissue and it also interrupts the pain cycle that occurs when nerves are irritated and muscles are in spasm.

Electric Muscle Stimulation: EMS triggers the release of two natural pain killers know as 'endorphins'.  It also stimulates the contraction of muscle(s) it is applied to: this is a way to exercise muscles without irritating inflamed nerves.  EMS relieves pain and muscle weakness.  It provides benefits similar to a gentle massage.  Most patients have EMS and Moist heat applied to their backs before an adjustment.

Disc Compression Therapy: is a traction based procedure.  It works by gently pulling on the low back or neck, thus creating a vacuum like effect in the disc space.

Moist Heat Pack: Most importantly it increases the flow of blood to the injured or painful area.  This increased blood flow helps rid the body of toxins.

Ice Pack: used to act as a natural pain killer to the area it is applied.  It works by raising the pain threshold of the painful or injured area and decreases inflammation.

Therapeutic Exercise: used to develop strength, endurance, range of motion, and flexibility.  This treatment helps to decrease pain and improve range of motion.  It helps to prevent future reoccurrence of their problems.   Stretching helps to increase range of motion, decrease the chance of  scar tissue formation in the injury site, and increase the overall flexibility of the muscle.

Guasha: "Gua" means to rub or friction. "Sha" is the term used to describe congestion of blood at the surface of the body. Its moves stuck blood, promoting normal circulation to the muscles, tissues, and organs directly beneath the surface treated.

Cupping: an ancient Chinese practice in which a cup applied to the skin and pressure in the cup (by using change in heat or by suctioning out air), so that the skin or superficial muscle layer is drawn into and held the cup.

Weight Loss: comprehensive weight loss program that includes nutritional counseling, behavioral therapy and medical supervision. We prescribe medications for weight loss.

Massage Therapy: works by kneading and stroking muscles to relax them, and uses friction to stimulate soft tissues. This therapy can increase blood and lymph circulation while breaking up scar tissue between muscle fibers.
